To establish and recruit churches and pastors throughout North and South Carolina, bringing them into fellowship with other churches and with the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc.

Mission:
To present the Lord Jesus Christ in cities and communities throughout North and South Carolina, establishing new churches, developing ministries to propagate the Apostolic Doctrine while training pastors, ministers, Christian workers, and missionaries to observe all things that Jesus Christ said by word, the Prophets, and the Apostles, establishing them in the Faith that was once and for all delivered unto the saints.
Purpose:
This community of ecclesiastical churches is organized and operated solely for religion, charity, literature, and education.
Our Chairman :
Suffragan Bishop Eric B. Morris, son of the late District Elder Frank and Mother Mary L. Morris
was born in Florence, SC. He is youngest of seven children. After graduating from West Florence
High School, he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from Voorhees College, Denmark, SC,
majoring in accounting and his Master of Business Administration Degree (MBA) from Southern
Wesleyan University. He is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Education (EdD) in Organizational
Leadership degree program at Argosy University. While a student at Voorhees College, he
became a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and served as Polemarch (President) of the
undergraduate chapter. He served as President of the Student Government Association, and
student representative on the Board of Trustees. He continued his ministerial and religious studies
at Aenon Bible College, Indianapolis, IN., Columbia International University, Columbia, SC, and
International Community Seminary and College, West Columbia, SC.
Suffragan Bishop Morris was saved at an early age and received his early Christian training,
under the pastorate of the late Dr. W. L. Johnson, Sr. at the Zion Tabernacle Holiness Church,
Florence, S.C. (now Greater Zion Tabernacle Apostolic Faith Church, Inc.) His early training in
the church prepared him to faithfully serve the Body of Christ. Under the capable leadership of
Dr. W.L. Johnson, District Elder Frank Morris, his father, and Pastor Almetea Adams, he worked
in the following capacities: youth ministry program committee member, Sunday school teacher,
associate minister and Bible study teacher. He accepted the call to ministry in 1985 while a
member of Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church, Dallas, TX.
Suffragan Bishop Morris is the Pastor of Citadel of Hope Christian Ministries, Inc., in Columbia,
South Carolina. He is an ordained minister with the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc.
(P.A. of W.) and currently serves as Chairman of its 24 th Episcopal Diocese, the South Carolina
State Council, Inc., under the leadership of the Honorable Bishop Charles H. Ellis III, Diocesan,
Pastor of the Greater Grace Temple City of David in Detroit, Michigan, former Presiding Prelate
of the P.A.W., Inc.
Suffragan Bishop Morris has a long history of service and involvement in the South Carolina
State Council. He was elevated and consecrated to the office of District Elder by the former
diocesan, Bishop Richard E. Young, Sr. in 2005; served as SCSC Vice Chairman, Advisory
Board member, Auditing Committee Chairman and Young People’s Union Auxiliary Director.
He was elevated and consecrated to the office of Suffragan Bishop and appointed to serve as
Regional Director in Region 2 of the (SCSC) by the current diocesan, the Honorable Bishop
Charles H. Ellis III.
Additionally, he served the Carolina State Council (CSC) of the PAW. Inc. as Treasurer of the
Carolina State Council Young People’s Union (CSCYPU) from 1992 until 1995. He then served
six (6) years as CSCYPU President from 1995 until 2001. On the national level he served with
the International Pentecostal Young People’s Union (IPYPU) of the P. A. of W. as balloting
committee chairman. He was also elected to serve two consecutive terms of office as Chaplin of
the Voorhees College National Alumni Association.
Morris is employed with SCDOT and has worked as an accounting/auditing professional with
Colleges & Universities, State Government and Non-profit entities.
Suffragan Bishop Morris is happily married to the former Kimberly Gordon, of Sylvania, GA.
They reside in Blythewood, SC. They have three children, Erica, Andre and Phillip, and two
grandchildren, Amaya and Alexander.
